Bakoena Royal Council Leads Tree Planting Drive in QwaQwa Bakoena Royal Council, led by Morena e Moholo Moremoholo Mopeli, in partnership with Youth In Action and Forestry, today planted 130 trees across QwaQwa. The initiative benefited 10 cooperatives, 5 schools, and 5 churches. Morena Mopeli highlighted the aim of the campaign: “Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees for people, for the environment, and for future generations.” The project comes as part of broader efforts to promote environmental sustainability and community well-being in the face of climate change.

The GCIS held a stakeholder dialogue with the Bakoena Royal Council, during which they invited different departments with mobile services and exhibitions as part of the G20 outreach programme. The GCIS is leading the implementation of the G20 outreach across all provinces of the country. The programme seeks to gather information from communities on how the G20 can bring about positive change and what benefits would the communities like to get from the programme

The Bakoena Royal Council spent a beautiful day with the little ones at Team Spirit Orphanage, hosting a fun-filled party and donating parcels to support the Centre. From there, the journey continued to Sassa Hall in Lusaka, where Morena e Moholo, Mofumahali MaMotebang Mopeli and Mofumahali Mathokoana Mopeli were honoured with a vibrant cultural performances.  In the true spirit of Ubuntu and Women’s Month, the Bakoena Royal Council  in collaboration with Youth in Action and Vodacom donated sanitary towels, goods and other essentials

On 6 August 2025, Morena e Moholo: Moremoholo Mopeli, in partnership with Vodacom and Youth In Action, led an initiative to donate sanitary pads to Elizabeth Ross Hospital. This meaningful act of dignity is more than just a donation, it is a continued commitment to restoring dignity and supporting women’s health. Morena e Moholo Moremoholo Mopeli, in collaboration with Youth In Action Organisation, the Kgosatsana Manapo Mopeli Foundation, and the MT Foundation, conducted an oversight visit and book donation drive at Nkarabeng Secondary School in Kestell. Driven by a passion for education, the establishment of this library and the donation of books by Morena e Moholo and his partners aim to empower and inspire the youth through access to knowledge and learning resources. We thank the learners and staff of  Nkarabeng Secondary School  for the warm welcome.
